Project description
Stewart offers projects in the areas of forensic science that develops and applies analytical techniques to identify and discriminate between- different drugs, drugs, metabolites and by-products in wastewater,
- chemical and spectral changes in bruises over time,
- determining make of condoms and lubricants,
- modelling threats due to environmental changes and chemical contamination of corals in the Great Barrier Reef (environmental forensics),
- identifying exposure to chemicals by longitudinal hair analysis and,
- determining the source and origin of food and beverage for food security.

Some projects involve Forensic Science collaboration, some include international involvement with 17 countries in the Australasian region and the International Atomic Energy Agency/United Nations Development Program
