Project description

The highly invasive nature of glioblastoma results in poor prognosis and patient survival. Research suggests that the glioblastoma cells utilise an array of changes in gene expression, ion channel functions and even neuron-like signalling to enhance cell survival and motility. This project will test neem oil - a naturally occurring compound from the seeds of Azadirachta indica for its ability to impair cancer cell migration and invasion. The outcomes of this project can be used in the future as a platform for translation studies.

Note: You need to register interest in projects from different supervisors (not a number of projects with the one supervisor).
You must also contact each supervisor directly to discuss both the project details and your suitability to undertake the project.
