Metagenomics of aquatic environments

Project description

High throughput DNA sequencing has made it possible to study the genomes of entire microbial communities. We are examining the metagenomics of the Oyster Reef Restoration Project as well as other SA environments including aquifers. There is scope for field work and bioinformatics work at these and other sites.
