Project description

Cows produce about 10% of global anthropogenic greenhouse gases. There are 2 species of red algae, one is South Australian, that can eliminate greenhouse gas emissions from cows when used as a feed supplement. With Peter Anderson and other staff, we will guide students in understanding the genetics of the algae and its associated microbiome that may play a key role.
