Project description

Hydrogen is considered to be one of the most important energy carriers of the future. In the transition from fossil fuel the hydrogen economy has been predicted to be one of the most viable alternatives. When generating hydrogen by water splitting using renewable energy sources such as wind and solar power low-cost catalysts are needed in the electrochemical water splitting process. Direct photocatalytic water splitting is another method that also needs efficient and low-cost catalysts. In this project singe atom catalysts will be prepared and evaluated in the water splitting process.

Note: You need to register interest in projects from different supervisors (not a number of projects with the one supervisor).
You must also contact each supervisor directly to discuss both the project details and your suitability to undertake the project.
