Project description
4D CT scan is a new technology that allows a patient with an injured wrist to be assessed The wrist is moved in the CT scanner, which provides DICOM data of the position of each bone We offer a research opportunity to assess the 6DOF of the carpal bones, and to correlate the findings with the wrist ligament injuries. The student will review the scans, and with support to segment the individual bones, to be able to then define the changes in the individual position of the bones This will help to better define the ligament injuries to the potential treatment options
