Project description

The project aims to design and implement an innovative electric vehicle (EV) charging station that incorporates hydrogen energy storage technology and renewable energy systems. This hybrid approach seeks to enhance the sustainability and efficiency of EV charging infrastructure, reduce dependency on grid power, and promote the use of renewable energy sources. It includes the development of a hydrogen production, storage, and utilization system. This will involve electrolysis to produce hydrogen from water using excess renewable energy, storage in high-pressure tanks, and fuel cells to convert hydrogen back to electricity when needed. The project creates an intelligent energy management system that optimizes the use of renewable energy and hydrogen storage, balancing supply and demand in real-time. Finally to conduct a life cycle assessment to evaluate the environmental benefits and a cost analysis to determine the economic feasibility of the project.

Note: You need to register interest in projects from different supervisors (not a number of projects with the one supervisor).
You must also contact each supervisor directly to discuss both the project details and your suitability to undertake the project.
