Project description

Assess the post-flood state of shallow aquifers in managed and unmanaged locations representative of the South Australian River Murray floodplain and channel, including change as a result of the flood where there is past monitoring data to support this. Geophysical methods will be used to develop cost effective assessment methods to changes in shallow groundwater salinity and changes to available soil moisture post flooding during the drying phase to help refine expected outcomes of environmental water delivery at local (tree condition sites), floodplain (floodplain aquifer) and regional (river reach) spatial scales.
