Project description
Learning Management Systems are used by millions of students worldwide, yet their one-size-fits-all presentation can present a barrier for students with individual access needs. This project aims to explore whether a browser extension or similar can learn how a student prefers to read and automatically adapt course content presentation to match. The student will conduct a literature review to identify appropriate accessibility profiles and candidate adaptation signals, before implementing and evaluating a system that adjusts visual properties accordingly. This project will explore the relationship between adaptive personalisation and static accessibility profiles, examining how each performs against objective accessibility measures and reported student preference.
Note: You need to register interest in projects from different supervisors (not a number of projects with the one supervisor).
You must also contact each supervisor directly to discuss both the project details and your suitability to undertake the project.
