Project description

It is found in a recent study that Southern Annular Mode (SAM) precedes sea temperature variation near the coasts of eastern and southern Australia by several years. This project is to examine if this teleconnection can be applied to predict capture fishery productivity, and thus to improve fishery planning and marketing. The study will be primarily based on spatial and temporal data analyses. This will be a collaborative project between research groups (Environment and Biology) in the College of Science & Engineering.
