Project description

This project will investigate newly invented technologies to extract gold from ore. The aim is to introduce a robust technique to replace mercury in artisanal and small-scale gold mining, which is the largest source of mercury pollution on Earth. Success in this project could have a global impact in preventing mercury poisoning and reducing mercury emissions in the environment.
