Early vertebrate palaeontology and evolution (various fish fossil projects)

Project description

Various projects on offer covering (but not limited to):

• Palaeontology of fish and early vertebrates
• Palaeoneurology and comparative neurology (brain evolution)
• Anatomy and morphology of living fish and early vertebrates
• Modern imaging methods for biology (diceCT, synchrotron scanning, neutron tomography, 3D modelling etc)
• Jaw biomechanics of early vertebrates (using Finite Element Analysis, in conjunction with Dr Olga Panagiotopoulou MONASH UNI)
