Project description

This project is part of an ongoing monitoring investigation on population declines in South Australian little penguins (Eudyptula minor). Over the last decades, some little penguin populations have been seriously declining in South Australia. A number of factors have been suggested to explain this decline, but the exact role of these variables (and how they vary between colonies) is still not fully understood. Current research on little penguins focuses on several issues that could explain their decline, with a strong focus on environmental stress and how individuals can cope with human disturbance.
