Project description

Electrochromic conjugated polymers can be used in smart windows, slow switching displays and camouflage applications. Under electrochemical action conjugated polymers can switch between different colours. The focus of the project is on studying the colour switching of different conjugated polymers and to analyse the switching speed of different devices. Nanoparticles can easily be prepared of conjugated polymers and they will be used to enhance the switching speed of the studied polymers. Synthesis of materials suitable for electrochromic switching can also be a part of this project.

Note: You need to register interest in projects from different supervisors (not a number of projects with the one supervisor).
You must also contact each supervisor directly to discuss both the project details and your suitability to undertake the project.
