Project description
Plant breeders are always looking for breeding markers they can use to select stress tolerant cultivars. This project will be working with an Australian Plant Breeding Company, Longreach Pty Ltd, to explore the use of the expression of a mitochondrial stress-related protein in wheat that may be indicative of tolerance to salinity stress and these work needs to be expanded into other environmental stress, like drought and heat.
