Aim

To understand the indicator and other bacteria present in Onsite Wastewater Treatment Systems and the change in bacterial numbers through the treatment process stages.  Assess the treatment and elimination of bacteria, prior to release to the environment.   Understanding of Taylex’s treatment system Sampling of the Primary, Secondary, Aeration and Clarifier
  1. Analyse the various bacteria strains present in the influent / liquid in each process / stage
Sampling of the Disinfections Chamber (Chlorine Tablet - Contact)
  1. Analyse bacteria present
  2. Determine the effectiveness of bacteria elimination
  3. Determine bacteria still present following effluent.
  4. Assess the effectiveness of chlorine disinfection.
