Project description

Internet of Things (IoT)-enabled digital health systems are increasingly used to support patient care. However, these systems operate in highly heterogeneous and resource-constrained environments, characterised by limited computational resources, interoperability challenges, legacy infrastructure, and diverse communication technologies. Ensuring secure and efficient access to healthcare data and services remains a significant challenge. Existing access control mechanisms often struggle to meet the dynamic and constrained demands of digital health IoT environments. This project aims to investigate, design, develop, and evaluate an access control framework for resource-constrained IoT-enabled digital health systems using a testbed environment.
