Project description

This project involves using momentum microscopy to investigate the electronic properties of nanostructured materials. Many bulk materials display interesting phenomena, such as band-gap renormalisation and charge-density waves, and we are interested in identifying how those properties change when those materials form nanostructures. This will assist in incorporating nanostructured materials into optoelectronic devices. This project will focus on identifying and characterising nanostructured materials using spectromicroscopy, in view of observing the band structure of nanomaterials.

Note: You need to register interest in projects from different supervisors (not a number of projects with the one supervisor).
You must also contact each supervisor directly to discuss both the project details and your suitability to undertake the project.
