Project description

Urbanisation and agricultural land clearing dramatically alter native habitats, causing some species to vanish while others persist. What gives these resilient reptiles their edge, and how can we design modified habitats to support greater species diversity? In this project, you’ll study how reptiles on the Adelaide Plains and Hills respond to land modification. By combining species distribution analysis, fieldwork, and laboratory experiments, you’ll investigate how land-use changes influence reptile survival and adaptation. This research will contribute to conservation strategies and develop your skills in field ecology, data analysis, and experimental design.

You must also contact each supervisor directly to discuss both the project details and your suitability to undertake the project.
