Project description

When we perform different actions of touching, grabbing, moving etc. of different objects we tend to use different parts of our hands to do these actions. In forensic science, the actions of interest may be those that are related to criminal activities. This study aims to use ink applied to hands as a substitute for DNA to investigate how different contacts (such as cutting vs stabbing) may result in different patters of ink deposition. This project will use ink to investigate indirect i transfer events relevant to different criminal contacts.
