Project description

Co-supervised by Harriet Whiley, Stewart Walker and Jackie Wright When methamphetamine is cooked or smoked it leaves a residue that contaminates the walls, floors, ceilings, soft furnishings, etc inside a home. There are currently a number of cleaning approaches used by difference commercial cleaning companies, although the efficacy of these clean-up methods is sometimes questionable. This project seeks to determine how to best clean or decontaminate porous or semi porous surfaces (e.g. gyprock walls) to ensure that the meth is actually gone, and that the health of the new inhabitants of the home is protected.
