Project description

NMR (and the related imaging technique MRI) normally has very low sensitivity. Hyperpolarisation can increase this sensitivity by orders of magnitude, allowing faster measurements on smaller amounts of samples using more accessible magnetic fields. This project will advance recent research in the group on ligand designs for improved hyperpolarisation catalysts, involving heterocyclic and organometallic synthesis and isotopic labelling synthetic strategies.

Note: You need to register interest in projects from different supervisors (not a number of projects with the one supervisor).
You must also contact each supervisor directly to discuss both the project details and your suitability to undertake the project.
