Project description

This project aims to explore the integration of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), computer vision, and multimodal interaction into autonomous robotic systems. With the increasing adoption of robotics across industries including manufacturing, healthcare, and service environments, the ability for robots to intelligently perceive, interact, and collaborate with humans is becoming increasingly important. The project will investigate how different robotic platforms, including mobile robots, robotic manipulators, and service robots, can be enhanced to operate autonomously in dynamic environments. A key focus will be on improving human–robot interaction through sensory capabilities, including vision, voice recognition, and environmental awareness. Students will design and implement solutions that enable robots to perform tasks such as object handling, navigation, inspection, or assistive services, while evaluating system performance, limitations, and real-world applicability. The project will also explore the challenges of integrating multiple robotic systems into a unified framework to enable intelligent and adaptive automation.
