Project description
Acid mine drainage (AMD) has been acknowledged as a major global environmental issue. This project aims to develop practical methods for stable, effective and economically-sustainable control of AMD at-source. Using innovative interdisciplinary geochemical and biochemical approaches, this project expects to generate new knowledge for environmental remediation and the sustainable development of brown- and green-field sites by the resources sector. Students will likely have the opportunity to collaborate with the mining industry.
