Project description
Aim: To design a fracture cast that is simple to apply, breathable and waterproof while still supporting unstable fractures. Research and Development required: Investigate suitable materials that can be applied as quickly as a plaster cast but is suitable for remote and tropical communities where moisture, humidity, infection etc are greater risks. Student to investigate the strength required for unstable fractures and prototype ideas that can be easily applied to a variety of limb sizes.
