Project description

The aim of this project is to prepare stable and efficient polymer solar cells. Polymer solar cells are made of a blend of two semiconducting materials. One material acts an electron donating material and one as electron accepting material. The nano scale intermixing of the active semiconducting materials is extremely important for the solar cell performance and the thermal stability is important for the lifetime of the devices. Different techniques will be used to study the thermal stability of the active materials and the solar cells fabricated inside a glove box.

Note: You need to register interest in projects from different supervisors (not a number of projects with the one supervisor).
You must also contact each supervisor directly to discuss both the project details and your suitability to undertake the project.
