Project description
Apply your 3D modelling and game development expertise to create high-fidelity virtual forests for next-generation forestry systems. Using tools like Blender and NVIDIA Omniverse, you'll develop sophisticated procedural systems for generating realistic trees and forest environments. The challenge involves creating diverse, realistic forest scenarios that capture the complexity of real-world environments while maintaining control over key design parameters. These synthetic environments serve multiple purposes, including VR training environments for forestry workers and autonomous AI / computer vision systems. Additional industry and research related opportunities within this project are also available, such as the use of LIDAR & satellite imaging datasets to create 3D digital twin representations of real-world forests.
