Did you know that South Australia’s open coast faces some of the biggest waves in the world? Yet, these waves are tiny in the Gulf (most of the time). We are now deciphering the wave climate (distribution of wave height, period, and direction averaged over a period of time), but still need to understand how waves transform (or change height and direction) as they enter the Gulf. We are collecting novel data which will be used towards models to better understand and predict sediment transport and coastal erosion.
Note: You need to register interest in projects from different supervisors (not a number of projects with the one supervisor).
You must also contact each supervisor directly to discuss both the project details and your suitability to undertake the project.
