What is the minimum entry requirements to apply for honours?

In order to be eligible for entry to honours, students would normally be expected to have achieved a grade point average (GPA) of at least 5 in 36 units of relevant upper level topics, by the end of their 3rd year. If a student’s GPA is <5, they are still able to apply but will need to make a case in writing to the Honours Coordinator regarding their preparation, motivation and ambition to undertake Honours. Offers will be made on the basis of ranked academic merit. As well as the student's undergraduate record, the availability of an academic supervisor for the research project will be taken into account. If already in a 4 year course and applying to progress through to your Honours year, please refer to the course rule for your course to check the progression requirements.
