Yes. You need to apply to progress through to your honours year so that your progress can be checked to make sure that academically you are on track. This process is also your way of nominating potential projects and supervisors.
Honours in the Science disciplines: Semester 1 – Four weeks prior to the planned University semester 1 start date Semester 2 – First day of the planned Uni semester 2 (late July)
Yes. A full-time load for honours is undertaken over two semesters (36 units / 8 topics in total), so if wanting to study part-time, these units can be undertaken over 3 or even 4 semesters. You can also change from full-time to part-time during honours if the need arises.
Yes. In order to be eligible for entry to honours, students would normally be expected to have achieved a grade point average (GPA) of at least 5 in 36 units of relevant upper level topics, by the end of their 3rd year. If a student’s GPA is <5, they are still able to apply but will
Absolutely! You will just need to provide a copy of your transcript from the University where you undertook your studies.
If you are in your final semester of your 3rd year, you can apply. If an offer is made, it will be conditional on you successfully completing your undergrad degree.
